Are we carrying the burden of past?
Too many memories to deal with
Past juxtaposed with the present
Sepia and bright colors in a contrast
Turning the pages of yesteryear memoirs
Present seems a caricature
Carved out with the same chisel
How can we detach from the past
Before they close in on the present
Some memories always seem to haunt
When they are repeated
Subconscious carrying the burden all along
Passing through the ages unheeded ©
