In an Unknown Land

When you linger too long

Surrounded in a foggy unknown land

Your gaze becomes hazy

Shrieks and clamour of voices

Coercing you to tread the path unknown

Yet, there are no souls to be seen

Adrift voices through the imposing trees

Leaves ruffled by the gust of messages

Without a guide, you wander away far

Lamenting the directionless drift

Setting foot on an uncanny territory

Shadow of a forlorn traveler

Startles you with its disheveled look

You head towards the river bank

Murky waters distort your reflection

An alter-ego lost in the ripples

Not even a drop to drink

You hope and wait for a rescue

None but you have traveled too far

This unknown territory is for you to ponder©
