Few drops or rain fills the crucible
Torrential rains caused it to overflow
Belligerently lashing at it with thousand whips
Crucible can’t keep steady for long
It loses balance and tilts over in exhaustion
Emptying itself of all the collected rain
Cracks appear and soul seep through them
Few drops of rain nurtures life
In excess, it inundates and uproots life
Beleaguered crucible ends the journey far away
Nondescript land without any name©
Few drops of rain nurtures life
In excess, it inundates and uproots life
Beleaguered crucible ends the journey far away
Nondescript land without any name
Beautiful use of imagery, Amitav! I was at an outdoor wedding yesterday. Just as the ceremony was over, a very light rain began to fall. The drops were cool and refreshing after sitting through the ceremony. We were all safely inside before the torrential rains started. As I was reading this piece, I was picturing the end of the ceremony had the torrential rains started 20 minutes earlier…

Thank you so much, Tanya. Always a delight to read you comments and the thoughts that you share. I guess Universe has a way of putting words in a writer; to be conveyed to the world. You have written a book and writing the second one, your inspiration and storytelling came together for a reason. Your ideas and stories will travel far and readers will relate to the tales that you narrate. Best wishes to you my friend.
