The creaks from the cracks, cacophony of creatures of darkness
Probably, devouring something after luring them with the seductive light
Here, stopped clocks devour time, and silence’s gluttony is quite alarming
Pleasures of pain, of human ordeals; grouchy pages consume emotions
Words without meanings strung in an alluring way to fashion nakedness
Vacuously blithesome, there’s revelry and partying of the wildest nature
Stoic clock watches over the party that extends beyond the happy hours
Squanderers of emotions are unaware of the cracks and dark creatures
Blank repentance with spurious tears only forms a narrow murky creek

Thank you so much, Megha. I feel there’s something ominous about stopped clocks. Those lines just flowed.

Yes there is. I too have written about it and so many other writers.I’m sure you must have read Edgar Allan Poe’s poetry around it.
