The impish importance of the imposter

When an entire crowd is mesmerised by the jester

Pretty scenes enacted on the wobbly stage

Such obeisance and applause is a cause of outrage

Commonsense dissipate like the maniacal magic

One can only witness the events so utterly tragic

The misery of the miserable penetrates deep

Tears of woes take away life in a vicious sweep
