A silence of shame, on being confronted by the truth
Guilt measured in a muted breath
Murmurs give away a disarrayed narrative
So many words have been stolen and placed erroneously
To structure definitions conveniently
Allaying failures with lies- diagnosing some fatal maladies
Of which there are no remedies, but more woes
In silence, there is complicity too
Most of what life could have gathered are spent in sighs
Exhausting the positive energies
Depriving a soul and surrounding a life with barbed wires
Fencing off the light, remedies, and hope
Silence and its feeble breath scarcely echo anywhere
~Amitav
It’s complicating. I agree. It depends on where it appears.
