From Ages

What is left behind is taken away by time

Only as a memory they settle down deep

They may fade, or remain there for a lifetime

In an unborn reality, they can seep

Struggles of mankind with a burdensome reality

Faintly forgotten due to life’s feebleness

Again, a consciousness awakens after brief mortality

Somewhere life is tricked by a deviousness

Encumbrance of time is a constant reminder

Jolts from the past will torment every mind

Only if passages could have been kinder

Denying the truth is reality of a life disinclined
