We’ve not met; meant to be distanced by time and the circumstances imagined by you

I have wandered too far away from those days, in a way seeking the ephemeral

Now the voice too sound unfamiliar and my ears are accustomed to the silence

Without being restrained by the stifling memories, a more courageous loneliness

Allows me to reaffirm my roots and get close enough to respect my emotions

No one can insist me to retrace the steps as time does not curl up and go back

I cannot be fooled by the alternate reality emerging from an withdrawn soul
