Being Awake

Do not be awake to honor the clocks

Here and there, measuring life like stern sentinels

Sometimes warns us, restricts the adventure

Even before I contemplate being a wanderlust

Time spies on us, the most ancient spy on earth

Confessions of our vulnerability tricked by time

Seek healing from time? It knows every grain of secrets

Keeps us distracted by the setting up of events

Making us a controversial character between an unadjusted past and elusive future

Time steals- tranquility, dreams, life; one day suddenly it will pause, within me

Time is above any suspicion or blame, but my journey, of inadequacies, will be scrutinized

Again, time will decide, how long I survive in anyone’s memory
