Swaddled with meagre feelings
Dryness settles between the creases
Like stubborn tenants
The dwelling feels dehydrated
Robbed of all the precious emotions
Through the cunningness and deals
Broken promises and evil ambitions
From youthful scenes to dreariness
The stinging winds become lethal
Depraved darkness comes along
Masked in a monotonous colour
Barren patio stares at desolate roads
Comparing the promises and reality
As life feels the pendulous effect
Eyes feel the pain of flawed heart
Beauty reflected in crooked mirrors
Lack of light diminishes the hope
Of those delirious atoms to slow down
Adulterated passions altered everything
Such meagre embraces of life
The dry fragments are grave evidence

Hey, I love your site, I never checked that out. Wow, love the last two verses of your poem. Scary but so true. Happy new year to you as well.

You always read my mind. Just writing about dryness.

That’s true! Have you wondered, the summery dryness and wintry dryness, and their metaphors are so contrasting.
