Consider sitting in front of the mirror for a lengthy period
Investigate the reflection for as long as the eyes aren’t distracted
Sounds of the world have been muted to facilitate this meeting
Conversations can wait, till the intense gaze probes the characters
Obviously, it is plural, dual, separated by the chasm of the dilemma
Thoughts that arise could be of swapping places for a change
It may not alter fate, but this reality is willing to surrender
There are chances of two willing to blend easily or be antagonistic
Not really rivals, but that desire to experience twin characters
The mirror splits the decisions to create a sharp distinction
That can be the beginning of acceptance or life-long enmity

Lovely Amitav… Beautifully written. I don’t look in the mirror most days and never to reflect and ponder

Thank you, Shalini.
After some time, the mirror starts questioning and stirring the subconscious.

That can be done by looking deep within

Yes, the reflection is also a reality that we cannot ignore; it is the inner character that sits in front of me to communicate.
