How often the words are replaced to leave a sighing gap
All, for the superficial conversations that emerge winner
Undeserving lines stealthily violate the honest sentiments
Consequences can be of any nature amidst unnatural languages
Hunger to be right satiate the heart that seeks dominance
Arguments decimate the sanctity of truthful communication
Conscience becomes an uneasy spectator of wilful dereliction
It’s a failure that life cannot acknowledge the power of words
Missing premises of strong foundation and learning are painful
As trust crumbles easily there is no chance of reconciliation

“Hunger to be right satiate the heart that seeks dominance” and this too often a weakness. Listening is a wonderful skill we can all benefit from. It does not mean we have to alter decisions, but imagine a world that leads with “ears wide open.” Perhaps it sounds more peaceful. 🙂
I hope you are well Amitav. I’ve been away on vacation visiting family, and I have much to read. As always, wonderful words of wisdom.

Honest listening do help us pay attention to the right words and truthful sentiments. When communication suffers it can only push away the truth.
Sharon, wonderful to have you back. Hope you had a great vacation. Thank you always for the words of encouragement. 🙂
